Just registered my daughter out of state into new H.S.?

I bought a house three years ago in chicago, IL. My youngest daughter moved with me to attend H.School in IL from Florida. The school wants me to show an IL ID. Illinois will not give me a state ID unless I surrender my Florida drivers license. I have two businesses, two homes, about five vehicles registered in Florida. All my insurance policies are in Florida. It would take me days to get all the data together plus spend about $3,500.00 to exchange everything. I DO NOT want to do this. How can I get around it? Can this school FORCE me to do it?
