What happens to the status of my old driver's license if I move to a new state and get a license there?

I had a restricted michigan driver's license and moved to virginia. I got a full driver's license in virginia and surrendered my MI license at the DMV. Is my michigan license now invalid (i.e. am now not subject to MI restricted guidelines)?
