Is there a certain way i can break this not liked to be picked up habit of my rabbit?

I adopted a dutch rabbit from my local humane society the day of Labor Day of 2010 and while i was reading his adoption papers more tonight i did discover that his prior first owner had never ever picked him at all that did surrender him that did have him for a year to the humane society and i am trying to handle him but all he does is want to climb up me if i do pick him up and Is a certain way that i can break this habit of my rabbit
