Does my cat need to be put down?

my at is almost two years old but has a MAJOR biting and scratching problem. when ever someone comes to my place my little kitty will tear there feet to shreds. please help! i need to know what to do with this cat because i am going to flip my lid otherwise!!!! they're coming to take me away HAHA!
