Is it wrong to be happy Bin Laden is dead?
I, for one, am happy that a murdering psychopath religion fanatic has been erased from our world, but people are telling me I shouldn't be. The most common reasons I've heard for not being happy he's dead include "Oh well it won't bring back the victims of 9/11" or "Oh we didn't win the war yet" or "Oh celebrating doesn't get anything done and it makes us Americans look like *******". No one said that it would bring the victims, at least now the families have closure; he wasn't assassinated, he wouldn't surrender, we're not the freaking mafia because we defend ourselves when attacked. No one said we won the war either, it's a symbolic sort of thing to me; it proves that we're not out of the fight yet and that Al Queda isn't invincible; not that anyone would say such cowards were invincible anyway. Once again, no one said anything about celebrating his death getting anything done; people were just happy because now there is one less murdering maniac in our world. As for being happy that he's dead, if that makes me look like an ****** just because I'm glad there is at least some closure for the families of the victims now, than you can call me an ******. I also hope it hurt when they shot him; and the fact that the government is saying photos of his corpse are "too grisly" when there are videos on youtube of people holding hands and jumping from the World Trade Center is completely ridiculous to me. I'm not saying that I need photos to know he's dead, but still, I think we deserve it. I'm a little crazy if you haven't noticed, apologies if I've bothered you, I just wanted to vent.
